Events in London

Muswell Hillbilly Brewers, Muswell Hill – The Brewers will be serving Hillbilly Cask Ales direct from their brewery from Friday 1st October (4- 9pm), Saturday 2nd October (1- 9pm) and Sunday 3rd October (1- 5pm). The Park Brewery Taproom, Kingston upon Thames – Come & try our banging new range of Cask Ale as we celebrate Cask Ale Week 2021! Cask Ale Week is running from 23rd September – 3rd October 2021. To celebrate 2 of our new Cask Ales are racked up and ready to be enjoyed. It’ll be the first time our West Coast Pale 4.3% ABV is available at the Tap Room. Plus, we will have the seriously tasty English Session IPA 3.6%. We also have our biggest ever range of kegged beer on tap. Additionally, we have guest beers available as well. The Park Brewery Taproom, Kingston upon Thames – Get ready to leap into your lederhosen for our first ever Oktoberfest at the Tap Room! For one day, Saturday 2nd October, there will a stein-sloshing Bavarian knees up at the brewery.  Tickets are £10 each, including a FREE glass AND first half stein! East London Brewing Company – On Thursday 30th September, there will be a Cask Launch of Walthamstow Beer – a green-hopped Pale Ale that was brewed using the hops grown from the garden, plots, and allotments of local residents! This is the 8th year of the Walthamstow Hop Project and there have been more growers and hops than ever before!  The cask launch will take place at the Ye Olde Rose and Crown, 53 Hoe Street, E17 4SA, from 7pm onwards. Walthamstow Beer will also be available in bottle at a later date, and will be announced in due course.

Sambrook’s Brewery Tap Room, Wandsworth – To celebrate Cask Ale Week, all of Sambrook’s cask beer is £3 a pint!  They currently have on the inimitable Wandle as well as favourite seasonal, Battersea Rye. Spa Valley Railway 10th Real Ale & Cider Festival, Tunbridge Wells – The South East’s original Railway Beer Festival is back this October with over 200 Real Ales and 40 Ciders perfectly complemented by live entertainment, a range of food stalls and of course our steam and heritage diesel trains! This is the 10th Real Ale & Cider Festival to be held at the Spa Valley Railway in conjunction with a group of local real ale loving enthusiasts and we’re pulling out all the stops to make up for losing 2020 and celebrating 10yrs too!  Book your tickets here.

Bromley CAMRA Social – On Saturday 25th September, the Bromley CAMRA branch will be celebrating Cask Ale Week with a social starting at 12.30pm at the Lock & Barrel Micropub, then moving on to the Partridge and the Star & Garter.  Everyone welcome!

OXFORDSHIRE

Chadlington Beer Festival, Chadlington Memorial Hall, Chipping Norton – 2021 sees the 17th annual Chadlington Beer Festival.  Taking place on Saturday 25th September, you can expect great beers from Chadlington Brewery, Loose Cannon Brewery, Little Oxbrew, Turpin Brewery and Hook Norton Brewery.  Adult Admission: £10 Including a glass, 2 tokens & programme.  For more info, visit their website

Hook Norton Festival of Fine Ales – On Saturday 25th September, it’s the 27th anniversary of the Hook Norton Festival of Fine Ales, raising money for Bloodwise. The Cock & Greyhound, Whitchurch – Celebrating all things CASK! In conjunction with CASK ALE WEEK and OKTOBERFEST, The Cock & Greyhound are putting on their very own mini cask ale ‘shindig’! They will be Offering a wide variety of Cask Ales, great food, including some Oktoberfest inspired dishes, live solo music artists on the Thursday and Friday, followed by a full live band on Saturday night. Indoor and outdoor bars with heated marquee to fend off any unwated weather! There’s also a chance to WIN Black Sheep Brewery Tour tickets! Shropshire Oktoberfest, The Quarry, Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury’s biggest beer festival is set to return on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd October.  Shropshire Oktoberfest is set to come back to the Quarry with a bang! You’ll find up to 150 real ales by independent brewers from the region and beyond! The Crown Inn, Oakengates, Telford – From the 30th September to 4th October, it’s the 48th Telford Beer Festival, Oktoberfest.  Although it may not be as big as their usual festivals, by post-lockdown standards, it’s still one of the biggest around. Snods Edge Beer Festival, St John’s Church Hall, Consett – Small community Beer Festival celebrating local produce. 12 Cask Ales, one from each of 12 local breweries across Durham, Northumberland and Tyne & Wear, plus 3 real Ciders from the Orchards of Husthwaite, North Yorkshire.  Food available throughout with a variety of sausages from Northumberland Sausage Company.  There will also be live music on Saturday from 3-5pm.  Entry £3 including festival glass and programme.
