Bingley brewery are launching a new bar which coincides with Cask Ale Week. The launch event will include guest beers from 3 other Yorkshire Breweries. Food will be provided from the local Peacock Bar in Bradford to create a mini beer festival style opening.
BLACK TOR BREWERY
Black Tor Brewery of Christow, Dartmoor National Park are celebrating Cask Ale Week 2017 with the release of a new limited edition beer Pale 4.4% ABV, which will be served in carefully chosen pubs across the south west.
Brakspear are pairing up with The Chilterns Walking Festival. They will be hosting a guided walk in the attractive hills of Henley on Thames on Friday 22nd September from 9am. The 7 mile thirst-creator finishes with a free tour of the Bell Street Brewery in the Bull. This will be led by the head brewer and assistant brewer. Enjoy a Butcombe Trio tasting paddle, try out a new cask beer and understand more about flavour profiles. They will be available during the Week for £3.50. Cask Ale Week is heading overseas to France! Elephant and Castle in Vieux Lyon will be hosting a range of activity during the Week. They will be hosting a pub quiz, ale and cheese tasting evening, main of the day matching and a sample tray of cask beers will be available – plenty to test your taste buds with.
EiGroup will be running a free pint promotion to coincide with Cask Ale Week.
Everard’s have teamed up with There’s a Beer For That to host a beer and food pairing event at the Bulls Head, Leicester Forest West, on Wednesday 20th September. The festival style event will be themed around end of harvest and will focus on their Golden ale ‘Sunchaser’, which will be expertly matched with a small plate as well as the rest of their core beers, Beacon Hill, Tiger and Old Original.
FOX ON THE HILL
Fox on the Hill has arranged for several breweries to come to pub during cask ale week to operate brewers nights and showcase their beers. The brewers will be providing raffles/quizzes where customers can win some beer. The dates are as follows: Thurs 21st Sep – Southwark brewery, Tue 26th Sep – Portobello and Thurs 28th Sep – Sambrooks.
There will be various tutored tasting events taking place to coincide with Cask Ale Week – some of which will include menu matching with cask beers.
A Beer festival will be taking place from 22-24 Sep. Each night will include different entertainment, starting with a comedy night on Friday 22nd, local live music on Saturday 23rd and finishing off with a Cask Ale Week quiz night on Sunday 24th. An exclusive new brew, brewed between Jennings and Tractor Shed Brewing will be available for the festival weekend. Buy your beer festival glass on the door for £2.
To celebrate National Cask Ale Week, Manchester Brewer; Joseph Holt will be hosting a special Beer Tasting and Meet the Brewers event. Oakham Ales are hosting a ‘Meet The Team’ night on the Thursday evening (28th) with a number of people on site. Watch their Twitter account for a number of competitions which are taking place throughout the week – plenty of prizes to be won!
The Palmers Brewery Dray will be based in Bridport market on Sat 23rd Sep, handing out hundreds of free brewery tours which will give people an insight into the unique process that makes cask ale so distinct. Tour de Palmers 1st Oct – now in its fourth year, upwards of 100 cyclists going around Palmers pubs and in teams supporting their local pub, competing for cask ale prizes They will also be hosting a Cask Ale giveaway Competition on social media during the Week.

Local Ale Festival will be taking place at the Packhorse Inn. There will be a selection of ales from the 8 Sail Brewery based in Heckington, Oldershaw’s Brewery in Grantham, Oakham Ales Brewery in Peterborough and Milestone brewery from Cromwell to try.
Purity Brewing Co will be hosting an open brewery event for their Puritan members to thank them for continued support. It will feature great cask ale, food and music.

Brighton and Hove’s first micropub, The Watchmaker’s Arms, will be holding a Home Brew competition. The winner will spend the day with Jack (Beercraft Brighton) brewing their winning beer to be served at The Watchmaker’s.
Thwaites is running a load of mini beer festivals in selected Inns, Pubs and Hotels. The winner of the Best Pint award will devise and brew their own beer to be included in the Beer festival package. The beer will also be on general sale to Thwaites Pubs, Inns and Hotels.

It will be led by head brewer Bill Dobson, who will talk through the history and making of seven famous Brains ales. Wadwoth’s Brewery are hosting a brewery open evening. This will include a full guided brewery tour where guests get to meet the brewer and experience a tutored tasting and beer matching. At the end, a gift pack of selected beers will be provided for each guest to take home.

Join St Peter’s Brewery for a beer and food matching evening. The evening will commence with an informative brewery tour followed by supper in the great hall.
